Long gun carry is still legal and so are many other ways to carry handguns if you fall in an exempted situation. Airguns may also be purchased and carried both handgun and long gun styles.

When in doubt there is locked unloaded concealed carry.

SB 427 Creating Victims out of Law Abiding through Ammo Registration

Right now there is a bill that would cause ammunition to be registered. The claim by author Senator De Leon is it will reduce crime by taking guns out of the hands of criminals. SB 427 and SB 124 will create a new unintended consequence through public records by displaying names, ID#, DOB and addresses so criminals can figure out exactly who has guns and what caliber of guns they have.

Attached is a low quality video when I made a purchase 6/26/2011 at Sports Authority in Concord, CA where they are ready for the change in the law. Please tell me these books are not just identity theft ready to happen. Criminals do not practice so purchase little to no ammunition. Most ranges require identification which prevents practice by the bad guys.
